Perez Car Family

The following, is a brief bio of the family you funded a home for in the town of El Tejar, Chimaltenango, Guatemala.

Marta, the mother, works as maid 3-4 days per week or selling cheese at the local market made with the milk from their cow and goat. They are also raising 4 piglets that they are planning to sell in the future. 

Marta’s husband is named Alejo Perez, he does not live with them because of his drinking problems and doesn’t support them financially. As a result, there are not enough funds to send her younger daughter, Jessica and her son, Gerber  to school.

Her oldest daughter, Bella is married to Elvis. They, along with their 4 year old son Jeremy, live with Marta. Elvis works in a bakery and sometimes in sawmill to help with the family finances.
